Free 2003 Comp

Exploding Dog records (once referred to as "The Ed Wood Of Music") existed in various parts of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2004. This old, old compilation of tracks, long thought to be lost, recently turned up on a scuffed and scratched cd-r. Allegedly almost all of these tracks were recorded on 4 track cassette recorder so expect considerable amounts of hiss, tape warble, volume inconsistancy, and complete drop outs of sound.

Coming up now on the 10 year anniversary of this comp I feel it is an appropriate time to share. Almost every band has fallen off the face of the Earth, there is no contact info, and no named members.

Please download and enjoy this rare and very raw recording.

DEATH WORSHIPPER 7/1/2012

Death Worshipper would like to extend our thanks for the overwhelming show of support given to us at our one live show. We appreciate everyone that showed up and hung out late on a Sunday to see us play. From our friends to the other acts we played with that night, you were all awesome. Special thanks to RJ for putting the whole thing together, and for playing a set so brutal that yinzers literally ran out the door.

We will shortly have video of the show, as well as pictures and a soundboard recording available shortly in one format or another.

The DW album is now available...FINALLY! Contact one of us if you are interested in a copy.

Review from Cvlt Nation:

One Man’s Trash…
OEDE Review2

Posted In Avant Garde,Black Metal,Music

I get really inspired by sonic outcasts, weirdos and freakazoids, because when they make music, no fucking rules can imprision their vision! OEDE is a one man band from Norway, and he creates his own brand of awesome music that would be almost impossible to peg down. His new EP, entitled One Man’s Trash, will be out early May via Holy Terror Records. Unholy hell, this record is a huge excerise in creativity that is ultra intense and has the bright sun of a southern swamp shining through. OEDE is a crazed voodoo priest trapped in a Nordic body – when you listen to One Man’s Trash a couple of times, it will all make sense to you. He knows how to cook up his own audio discord that is seasoned with cyco blues and black noise. On the opening track, “Stille Stille,” he lays down this demented dirty Cajun riff with a demonic voice floating on top of putrid groove. Just as OEDE knows how to work subversive melody into his song structure, he knows how to torment your braincells with noise! Take his song “8063″ for instance – it’s layers of feedback at war with chaotic distortion, but even under that you hear his tweaked voice with emotive guitar. When I listen to One Man’s Trash, I know I’m playing a very special record that might not be understood the way it should be. I really hope I’m wrong, because honestly, it should end up on some end of the year lists. This dude has an amazing voice that sounds like 1000 demons puking at the same time. OEDE shows he has the ability to shatter what we might consider normal and allow his influences to speak in many different tongues while speaking with one voice! You feel the cold bite of his sound when the blackened noise starts to rip off your face. That all changes with the last song, “Under Creole Skies,” that will awaken spirits in your mind that you never knew existed. One Man’s Trash is another human’s sonic glory – thanks OEDE for having the courage to create such an awesome record!…

BEST OF RODNEY MULLEN

Without skating I would have never gotten into the music that has changed my life. Without Rodney Mullen I would have never gotten into skating.

He can not be touched.

Some parts are so mind boggling that they almost look like trick photography.

PLASTERHEAD

After too many years to count, and many failed attempts, PLASTERHEAD will finally begin working on their debut album. This project has been in existence since 1994 but has had no official output besides very rough demos recorded at various times, all on home stereos. T shirts and posters were printed in 1996, long before a single sound was ever put down. And yet PLASTERHEAD has festered within the subconscious of the two band members all these years. 2012 will finally see the release of the first official PLASTERHEAD full length.

POINTE DUNE

"They say that nightmares are dreams perverted. I told them here it wasn't a nightmare--but they don't believe me. They nod, and make little notes in my file...But there's so little time left! You've GOT to listen!

"Not far from here there's a small town on the coast--they used to call it New Bethlehem, but they changed the name to Pointe Dune, after the moon turned blood red...Pointe Dune doesn't look any different than a thousand other neon-stucco towns--but what they did to me...what they're doing now...

They're coming here...they're waiting to pierce the city. They're peering around buildings at night, and they're waiting...They're waiting for you. And they'll take you...one by one, and no one will hear you scream! NO ONE WILL HEAR YOU SCREAM!"

Check out the POINTE DUNE post at http://teamguano.com/  where you can listen to (and download) the whole "Blood Moon" album for free. Also be sure to attend one of the Team Guano events whenever they pop up.
